For over 52 years, the owners of Focus Products have designed, developed, and produced products for businesses and churches.
In 1959, it began with an idea to produce changeable magnetic signage, and magnetic boards for teaching music. The company, Display Magnetics was born, based in Duenweg, Missouri, which developed and sold magnetic production control boards, magnetic lettering sets for advertising and display, MusicMate teaching boards with magnetic music note sets for music teachers, and various other magnetic products which were sold nationwide. Display Magnetics was sold in 1967, and a new company was started, All Church Technical Service.
All Church Technical Service, based in Nashville, TN, was created to provide unique educational products for both church leadership and members. Notable products we developed are the Bible Map Insert (every place in the Bible) and the larger version, the classroom-sized Bible Map Set, which have sold worldwide for over 25 years. We also developed the MatchClue(TM) learning game board, the 7-6-7 Bible Verse Memory System, and the F.A.V.O.R. Church Accounting System for Cash Flow Control, plus many educational games and teaching resources. In 1978, the company was relocated to Fayetteville, AR.
In 1982, the company Insta-Graphics was begun to service businesses and individuals in the sign, display and graphics industries. Around the same time, we also started Compute-Account, an online computing service for companies, which was just before the personal computing revolution started. During this time, the F.A.V.O.R. Church Accounting System for Cash Flow Control came into being, and later was integrated back into the All Church Technical Service product line.
About a year later, in 1983, another company, the Coacher Company was birthed out of the realization that there was a large, unfulfilled need for hand-held training boards which coaches of all sports could use for teaching, and also for in-game play diagramming and player scheduling. We developed many of the innovations which are still used in the coaching board industry today. We not only made personal coaching boards, but also larger, wall-sized boards for locker room, and hockey rink locations. The company still exists today, and is focused mostly on personal-sized coaching boards.
In 1990, we sold The Coacher Company to devote more attention to Insta-Graphics. We expanded to a second location in Overland Park, KS under the name Instant-Graphics, and then sold the whole company in 1995.
Even with having sold the company, we still received quite a few requests for custom projects. So, Focus Products was set up to service all of the custom project and product requests we were receiving. These custom requests have grown over the years to the point that in 2006, we reorganized everything. All Church Technical Service is now a division of Focus Products USA, LLC (est. 2008).
With this varied, entrepreneurial background, many innovative products and services have been created over the years, which we still provide, and many more are yet to come!
